After understanding what makes a good poster, students used the knowledge to make their logos for their exhibition groups.
The next project was inquiring about how to be creative with just lines and create unique shapes from overlapping them to create shapes. The project was painted with tempera. We inquired about how to show texture in an artwork and explored Australian Aboriginal art. The project would have a cut-out animal colored with oil pastels then the background will be filled with creative and colorful dots painted with cotton buds. Each process and material shows a unique texture for the artwork. We inquired about what makes a good print ad then made our own learner profile posters as an advertisement!
Grade 1s inquired about what else can a thump print be? After reading books by Ed Emberley, everyone was inspired to create! Some inquiries were about what part of an animal a thumb print can be or can it be part of nature?
