We are currently making a collage using lines. Today we started by drawing the lines we needed and carefully cut them out following the pencil marks. For our unit on line, we are looking at the style of Piet Mondrian. Students did their own "copy" of his works. Done with coloured pencils or crayons, we tried our best to color within the blocks. We only used a few colors and did our best to space them out.

In preparation for Middle and High School Art, Grade 5 students are introduced to using a sketchbook.
As we start the year, we also inquire about identity and the cover of their sketchbooks should show who they are. They used water color pencils to color their designs.
